Spirit fired with a fully functioning mechanical lubricator. Single cylinder with slide valve. Tender body is all brass. Built to an LBSC design FIRS 245 which he published in the December 7 issue of Model Engineer in 1944.

LBSC gifted his model to the six year old son of a family in Kent, in appreciation of their kindness. This model was built late 1940s and is a great runner that steams well. It has a proper blast pipe from the slide valve exhaust that gives great draw. Running with a pleasing chuff from each piston stroke.
A solid well made model that will run for years and years. A great performer and delight that children can operate as well as adults. One for the enthusiast and also display.
