Steam JET ENGINE Working Scale Models. This custom made miniature steam powered Jet Engine is a precision made scale model of a high bypass turbofan engine. The Front Fan is 1.5 in diameter and the engine is 2.5 in length, from front fan case to copper tube at rear of compressor inlet.

Its top speed is 25,000 RPM with the right steam boiler attachment. It can also be powered by compressed air and speed controlled by regulating Air Pressure. It is custom made from high quality aircraft aluminium and bronze.

The internal bearings are hi-tech air-cooled and rated to 40,000 RPM, but Max 25,000 RPM is recommended for safe use. The Aluminium and Bronze frame the engine is mounted on is 3.5 wide and 3.5 in height. The other two steam turbine wheels pictured are powered directly by steam impinging onto the wheels turbine blades. The larger turbine wheel is 2.5 in diameter and powered by a copper tube positioned radially at 45 to turbine blades, at bottom of the turbine wheel. The smaller turbine wheel is 1.5 in diameter and powered by a copper tube outlet, positioned axially 180 impinging at the bottom of the turbine wheel.

Both Turbine wheels can easily reach speeds of 25,000 RPM using steam or compressed air. These two turbine wheels have attached drive shafts which could be connected to drive an Accessory. These Steam Powered Turbine engines are NOT recommended for children and are extremely dangerous when operating at high speeds. Adult supervision and eye safety wear is mandatory for their safe use.
