Virginia by LBSC Live Steam Model Locomotive kit instructions, drivers & rails

Here is a materials starter kit for building an early American type Live Steam Model Railroad locomotive in 3 1/2 gauge, it is a 4-4-0 type, burns coal and will pull a rider car on elevated track. This locomotive when completed weighs an estimated 60 pounds, is almost one Meter or 3 1/2' feet long!

The frame rails and drivers shown in the photos were laser cut from cold rolled mild steel and are to correct size and form to machine the frame rails and driver wheels for Virginia. These parts are two of the more difficult to make from scratch components of the locomotive. The book is a reprint from the original Model engineer articles published during 1956 and 1957, containing over 100 11" x 17" pages of the complete original article are included in this offering in the form of a comb bound book, which also contains several pages of notes and drawings as supplements... Three pages of the text are shown which demonstrate the clarity of this set of instructions. These figures are approximate and vary as per exact location.
